Technical Support Engineer

IAFIS Colombia is looking for a Level 2.5 Technical Support Engineer. We are a technology company present in 15 Latin American countries, specializing in biometrics, forensics, and security. Visit our website to learn more.


  • Record, document, and evaluate tickets raised by customer.
  • Analyze and correct incidents, guaranteeing compliance with customer SLAs.
  • Execute functional tests prior to deployment on production system.
  • Deployment of corrections on production system

Hard Skills:

  • OS: Linux / Oracle Linux; Windows (Desktop & Server); UNIX/AIX.
  • Windows Active Directory.
  • Basic knowledge of Python, Java, scripting (Unix/Linux shells; Powershell)
  • Containers: Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Scripting ability in one or more of the following – C/Borne/Korn shell, batch, files and SQL.
  • Knowledgeable in administrating and maintaining Oracle Database, knowledge in Postgre, MySQL is a plus.
  • Certification in system management best practices (ITIL) is a plus (or relevant experience).
  • Desirable knowledge in networking and Windows Server.
